Last week, the San Jose Planning Commission approved the proposal for another data center located at 1657 Alviso Way in the Alviso neighborhood of Northern San Jose. The plan originally brought by the Microsoft Corporation in 2019 was previously stalled but has now been processed alongside a 2022 request for parking exemptions.
The City of Menlo Park has opened up applications for the development of three large parking plazas in Downtown Menlo Park. The city plans to build a minimum of 345 units of affordable housing spread across the three sites but has not restricted the addition of more units. The program plans to integrate affordable housing options into the high-resource downtown area.

A new skilled nursing center has been proposed for development at 250 Conference Center Drive in Roseville. The project proposal includes the development of a new nursing facility offering care units, 120 beds and other assisted living facilities. St. Louis-based RangeComm Development is listed as the project developer.
The new Brisbane Baylands site development plan reported on by SF YIMBY last week is set to include more than 157 acres of open space in addition to the other developed areas. The open space areas will include urban plazas, community parks, hiking and recreation areas, and flood protection buffer areas. Beyond the 157 acres, the plan also sets aside several large open areas for sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy generation.
