The city’s Planning Commission will conduct a design review study for the laboratory research complex with two garages and new improvements to the San Francisco Bay Trail. The development is being sponsored by project developer DivcoWest.

Wong sold the property earlier this year to the developer Align Real Estate.

The plans are to create a new home for MBC BioLabs, a coworking company that specializes in labs across the Bay Area, including a location at 953 Indiana Street. The project would help serve the region’s prominent life sciences industry.
