New building permits have been filed to prepare the property at 470 West San Carlos for construction in Downtown San Jose. The development was last covered by SFYIMBY ahead of project review by the San Jose Planning Commission. The developer, Urban Catalyst, is proposing a six-story assisted living facility consisting of 116 units.
Recently shared photographs from an SFYIMBY reader show the state of construction for 1064-1068 Mission Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The development is poised to create mid-density housing for people experiencing homelessness once opened in the central business district with access to transit, retail, and job opportunity. The Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, Mercy Housing, and the Episcopal Community Services have partnered together for the development.
New planning permits are under review for a four-story senior living project at 3315 Almaden Expressway in South San Jose. The project will provide new residential space in a relatively retail-rich corner of several car-oriented neighborhoods. The project is planned to be immediately adjacent to the Almaden Expressway, which merges with Route 87 to cut through Downtown San Jose. Columbia Pacific Advisors is listed as the project sponsor.
Santa Clara Planning Commission is reviewing the architectural and conceptual plans for a housing project proposed at 3335 Kifer Road, Santa Clara. The project proposal includes the construction of a supportive senior affordable housing complex with 80 units within the Lawrence Station Are Plan (LSAP). The site is currently occupied by a 8,992 square-foot research and development building and surface parking that are proposed for demolition.
The project is developed and sponsored by Allied Housing Inc. GLO Architecture is managing the design concepts and construction.
New development plans have been released for Cambrian Plaza Park, a mixed-use multi-structure proposal for 14200 & 14420 Union Avenue in Willow Glen, San Jose. The development includes three main buildings surrounded by 48 new single-family houses and 25 three-story townhouses. Weingarten Realty Investors is responsible for the project as the property owner.
