A new mixed-use project has received approval for development at 147 East Santa Clara Street in downtown San Jose. The project proposal includes the construction of two buildings offering office and residential spaces. Urban Catalyst, a premier Silicon Valley real estate equity fund, is the project developer. WRNS Studios is the project architect, and GLS Architecture + Landscape is the landscape architect.
New plans have been published for the Balboa Reservoir townhomes, an 89-unit component for the project that will create over a thousand homes next to the City College of San Francisco. The development team, led by AvalonBay Communities and BRIDGE Housing, told the SF Business Times they expect to purchase the land by the end of the year. With plans approved two years ago and the property sale likely, the team is eyeing a groundbreaking by 2024.
The official groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday afternoon for Potrero Block B, phase two of the Potrero HOPE SF masterplan at 1801 25th Street in Potrero Hill, San Francisco. Construction will create 157 affordable homes, of which most will be dedicated to existing Potrero Public Housing residents. BRIDGE Housing is the project’s developer.
The San Jose Planning Commission is scheduled to review updated plans for the Icon-Echo mixed-use development in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The proposal will create apartments, offices, and retail split between two towers across from City Hall and the recently-complete MIRO Towers. Urban Catalyst is the project developer.
New building permits have been approved by the Planning Department for the construction of an eight-story affordable infill at 730 Stanyan Street in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco. The project is expected to cost just over a million dollars per unit, costing nearly $166 million. Along with the approval, the Board of Supervisors has passed a resolution supporting potential state funding for the project, and new design plans have been revealed from OMA.
