A new mixed-use project has been approved for development at 419 4th Street in Jack London Square, Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of an eight-story mixed-use building offering residential and retail spaces. The site formerly housed the H&L Noodle Factory, and the new building will maintain the original first floor facade. Smart Growth is the project owner. Lowney Architecture is the project architect.
The San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans for a two-structure residential infill at 1721 15th Street in the Mission District’s Mission Dolores neighborhood. The project will rise six stories above 15th Street, with a rear-yard building offering four townhome-style units. Veev, a start-up based in San Mateo, is the project developer and contractor.
Plans have been filed for a five-story residential infill at 800 San Antonio Road by the Bayshore Freeway in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The project will replace three single-story structures with 75 market-rate homes. Saratoga-based TimeSpace Group is responsible for the development.
A preliminary application has been filed seeking approvals for modifications at 2015 Blake Street in Downtown Berkeley. The project proposal includes the addition of residential units to the existing units and increasing the building height to eight floors. Plans call for the demolition of the existing commercial buildings and one duplex on the site.
A pre-application has been filed for a seven-story mixed-use development at 1931-1941 San Pablo Avenue in Northwest Berkeley. The application would reshape a 1.35-acre lot, including the former Rivoli Theatre building, with 323 apartments. Lowney Architecture is managing the design.
