Number Two: Oceanwide Center at 50 First Street, SoMa, San Francisco

In January of 2021, the Oceanwide Center in San Francisco was expected to become the second tallest tower in the Bay Area. Construction was put on hold in October of 2020, and subsequent issues throughout 2021 have imperiled Oceanwide’s plans. However, foundation work is complete, and there remains hope that a new developer could pick up and finish the highly anticipated 910-foot tower designed by Foster + Partners.

Hines Expects San Francisco Supertall at 50 Main Street to Open by 2027

High-quality renderings and planning documents have now been released for the 200 Mission Street campus project, immediately after Hines announced the groundbreaking news that 50 Main Street would reach 1,066 feet tall. While the renderings provide greater insight into the architectural design of 50 Main Street supertall by Foster + Partners, the new documents have revealed foundation details and the estimated timeline for construction.

Move-Ins Start for Permanent Supportive Housing at 833 Bryant Street, SoMa, San Francisco

Construction work has finished for the supportive housing development at 833 Bryant Street in SoMa, San Francisco. Residents have already started to move into the 145 new units, accompanied by amenities, a ground-floor flex space, and support offices. The project is a partnership between Mercy Housing, Tipping Point Community, and the San Francisco Accelerator Fund.
