Construction has topped out with facade work underway for the future Marriott at 1431 Jefferson Street in Downtown Oakland. The structure will become a new 276-key hotel less than five minutes from the 12th Street/Oakland BART Station. Hawkins Way Capital is responsible for the development.
Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a new residential project at 3600 Laguna Avenue in Dimond District, Oakland. The project proposal includes the construction of condominiums on a vacant lot. Greencycle LLC is the project applicant.
Development permits have been approved for a five-story residential building with affordable housing at 685 9th Street, to be located in Downtown Oakland. Construction would add 117 units to the East Bay housing market, of which 35 would be priced as affordable. Levy Design Partners is managing the design concepts, and construction and Riaz Capital is the owner.
Building permits have been issued for four-structure residential development at 825 6th Avenue by the Merritt neighborhood in Oakland. The issuing paves the way for upcoming construction to add 15 new townhome units to the East Bay housing market. Riaz Capital is responsible for the development.
The tallest residential tower in Downtown Oakland has passed the 50-percent leased milestone. Atlas is a recently-opened 40-story mixed-use tower with 633 rental units rising at 385 14th Street in the heart of the city, just a block from the 12th Street BART station. Carmel Partners is the developer with Greystar managing leasing.
