Google has started work on renovating one of the largest freestanding structures in the world, Hangar One in Moffett Field, Mountain View, Santa Clara County. Crews will restore the 1933-built air hangar for Google’s Planetary Ventures unit for technological research and testing. The initial phase will include recoating, which will take around two years.
New renderings have been revealed for the seven-story residential infill at 300 Mosley Avenue, located in the Admirals Cove residential community in Alameda, Alameda County. Carmel Partners, who purchased the former Navy housing site in 2017, is responsible for the application. The proposal will create 227 homes along with new public open space.
A development plan application has been filed seeking the approval of a new residential project proposed at 2481 Deerwood Drive in San Ramon. The project proposal includes the development of a townhome community consisting of ten three-story buildings. Trumark Homes is the project applicant. Sieva Property LLC is the property owner.
Demolition permits have been filed for three structures to make way for 555 Byrant Street, a 16-story residential proposal in SoMa, San Francisco. The development will create five hundred new homes with on-site parking and co-working lounges. Strada Investment Group is responsible for the application.
Permits have been filed seeking the approval of the restoration of Pier 9 in Embarcadero, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the restoration of the port at Pier 9 to return the Klamath, a 1924 historic ferryboat, to the San Francisco waterfront. The Bay Area Council is the project developer.
