Detailed new renderings have been published for UCSF’s proposed new hospital addition to the Parnassus Heights Campus. The new renderings with design by Herzog & de Meuron come with the Draft Environmental Impact Report’s publication and the start of a public comment period. University of California, San Francisco is the project sponsor.
Construction work has been making progress for the new Palo Alto Public Safety Building at 250 Sherman Avenue in Palo Alto’s Evergreen Park neighborhood. Groundbreaking occurred in June of this year, replacing downtown surface parking with a three-story municipal office building for the Santa Clara County city. The building will function as a police station and administration office for the fire and police departments.
Planning permits have been filed for The Jacquelyn, a three-story mixed-use development at 1114 22nd Street in Midtown, Sacramento. The project would replace a parking lot with two retail spaces, a private art gallery, and an apartment. Urban Elements, led by company President Julie Young, is the project developer.
Demolition permits have been submitted for 600 Addison Street in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the demolition of three warehouses on the site and the construction of a research and development (R&D) campus. Berkeley Commons Owner LLC is the property owner. Gensler is managing the design concepts and construction. Tom Leader Studio is the landscape architect.
Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a project at 985-1001 O’Brien Drive in Menlo Park. The project proposal includes two buildings featuring research and development spaces, a life science center, and office spaces. Plans call for the demolition of three one-story commercial buildings. Tarlton Properties is managing the design concepts and development.
