Over Quarter Billion Dollars in Funding Secured for 1330 South Bascom Avenue, San Jose

Construction funding has been secured for 1330 South Bascom Avenue, a large eight-story multi-family building in west San Jose. The development team received $284 million from an Australian pension and retirement fund to build The Maxwell, the nearly six hundred unit apartment component of the transit-oriented South Bascom Gateway Station masterplan. Newmark announced in a press release that construction is expected to start by the end of the month.

Groundbreaking for Alameda Marina Community by Landsea Homes, Alameda

Less than one year after acquiring the waterfront property, Landsea Homes has broken ground on the townhomes component of Alameda Marina, a master-planned community with affordable housing in Alameda, across the water from Oakland and in view of Brooklyn Basin. The development, designed by KTGY, will create 182 townhomes, with sales starting later this year.

Excavation Underway for Potrero Power Station along San Francisco’s Dogpatch Waterfront

A recent site visit has shown notable progress on demolition and excavation for the 2,600-home Potrero Power Station development nine months after groundbreaking. Crews have removed several structures while retaining the historic Station A and 300-foot smokestack, both brick structures will serve as focal points in the 29-acre waterfront development in Dogpatch, San Francisco. Associate Capital is responsible for the project.

New building permits have been filed for a residential infill at 1619 N Street in Midtown, Sacramento. The application calls for a 102-home apartment building, the primary component of a full-block project. Cresleigh Homes Corp is responsible for the development through Altitude Sacramento LLC.

Recently shared images by an SFYIMBY tipster show that facade installation has started for Verandah at Valley Oaks, a residential town-home project on the outskirts of Novato in Marin County. The development will build over four acres at 7711 Redwood Boulevard, adding 80 new homes to the housing market. Landsea Homes is responsible for the development.

Renderings Revealed for 1619 N Street, Midtown Sacramento

New renderings have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 1619 N Street in Midtown Sacramento. The proposal will renovate the existing Jefferson School building while constructing a mid-rise apartment block and seven townhomes. PPA Published for $2 Billion Stonestown Redevelopment, San Francisco

San Francisco has published their first review of the Stonestown Development Project. The planning department has published their Preliminary Project Assessment (PPA), kickstarting the multi-year entitlement process between the City and the project developer, Brookfield Properties. As it stands, the project aims to replace over two dozen acres of surface parking around the mall with thousands of homes, new shops, office space, a hotel, and public parks.

The seven-story development hopes to add 262 new apartments, including some affordable housing, across from a few other potential high-density apartment blocks with retail, BART and Caltrain station nearby. Overton Moore Properties is responsible for the application via Infill Land Partners LLC.
