Urban Catalyst is preparing for vertical construction on Keystone, their extended-stay hotel at 495 West San Carlos Street in San Jose by Diridon Station. The eight-story Marriott TowneSuites Hotel is the only of its type under construction in the city, responding to demand from the city’s construction industry, conferences, and concerts. Completion is expected by 2025.
A new draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) has been released for a project proposed at 1125 Arguello Street in Redwood City. The project proposal includes the construction of a mixed-use building offering office and residential spaces. Plans call to replace several low-rise commercial structures and asphalt with hundreds of thousands of square feet of office space, a few dozen units of affordable housing, and a childcare facility.

The Final Development Plan has been published for the Emeryville Public Market, a life sciences development in Emeryville, Alameda County. The master vision includes a 160-foot office block, a garage, and a new public park connected to Amtrak with an elevated walkway. The proposal is a joint development by Oxford Properties and City Center Realty Partners.
The race for the tallest building in Berkeley continues, and it is a contest of single-digit differences. Updated plans have been filed with the Berkeley Planning Department for 2128 Oxford Street, which raises the project to 26 floors and 284 feet tall. The plans are now the tallest proposed building for Downtown Berkeley, extending just seven feet over 1974 Shattuck Avenue.
