New Construction Planned For 1322 O Street In Downtown, Sacramento

Development permits have been submitted for approving the construction of a new mixed-use multi-family housing development on 1322 O Street in Downtown, Sacramento. The project proposal consists of a five-story building with fifty-eight studio units and a 1,300 square feet cold-shell retail space. Williams + Paddon Architects manages the design concepts, and construction and Tricorp Construction is the contractor for the project.

Sacramento City Council Votes to Change Single-Family Zoning

The Sacramento City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday in favor of a draft plan to change the city’s exclusive zoning for single-unit households. Starting December of 2022, the city will allow the construction of single-family homes, duplexes, triplexes, and fourplexes in areas that are currently zoned for single-unit homes only. The City Council voted 8-0 in approval, taking inspiration from the cities of Minneapolis and Portland, Oregon.

Demolition Permits Filed for 1500 S Street, Downtown Sacramento

Demolition permits have been filed for two structures at 1500 and 1508 S Street to make way for an eight-story residential building at 1500 S Street, Downtown Sacramento. The five-lot parcel contains an existing low slung commercial structure and a single-story house. They will be torn down for the construction of 137 new homes. Anthem Properties is responsible for the development since purchasing the property in 2019 for $5.1 million.
