The Draft Environmental Impact Report has been published for the 22-story affordable senior development at 19 North Second Street in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County The documents have been prepared by the City of San Jose for review by public agencies and individuals to provide comments. A new residential project has been proposed for development at 101 South Jackson Avenue in San Jose. The project proposal includes the construction of two-story townhomes and a conventional rezoning of the project site from single-family residence zoning to a mixed-use neighborhood zoning district. A single-story house and detached garage on the site were demolished. Habitat for Humanity is the project developer. Geoffrey Holton Associates is responsible for the design concepts.
The San Jose Planning Commission has approved plans for a 26-story residential skyscraper for 17-31 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. However, the project is threatened because the VTA aims to seize part of the land through eminent domain for the future San Jose VTA/BART Station. The project team believes Eterna Tower can contain the new train station entrance. The VTA disagrees.
New renderings have been revealed for the two mixed-use towers and future office for Caltrain. The project will rise on the surface parking adjacent to San Jose’s Diridon Station.
