Draft EIR Published for Orchard Residential at 409 South 2nd Street, Downtown San Jose

The Draft Environmental Impact Report has been published for Orchard Residential, a 30-story mixed-use tower at 409 South 2nd Street in Downtown San Jose. The publication of the Draft EIR starts a 45-day period for public input to influence the Final EIR. Orchard Residential is part of the Westbank Campus, a joint venture with the Canadian developer Westbank and Urban Community.

Construction Expected by 2023 for Orchard Workspace in Downtown San Jose

Construction is expected to start next year for Orchard Workspace, a 20-story office proposal at 300 South 1st Street in Downtown San Jose. The news comes from the publication of the Draft Environmental Impact Report and the start of a public review period. The project aims to replace the 2.8-acre Valley Title lot with over a million square feet of office space and a large public market.

Orchard Workspace is one of seven projects in the Westbank Campus, a masterplan vision being developed by Westbank and Urban Community.

Application Filed For 101 South Jackson Avenue Townhomes Project In San Jose

A new residential project might soon be cropping up at 101 South Jackson Avenue in San Jose. The project proposal includes the development of new two-story townhomes and a conventional rezoning of the project site from single-family residence zoning to a mixed-use neighborhood zoning district. A single-story house and detached garage on the site were demolished. Habitat for Humanity is the project developer. Geoffrey Holton Associates is responsible for the design concepts.
