The property, located at 37 North 27th Street, is close to the prospective 28th Street Little Portugal BART Station. Though the transit connection isn’t expected to open for well over a decade, the new owner is hoping to build dozens of apartments.

The plan is the latest in a series to replace low-slung offices with housing in the South Bay. Once complete, the proposal expects to create 110 dwelling units.
