Planning Application Filed for Freedom West, Fillmore District, San Francisco

The Freedom West 2.0 developer team has filed a Preliminary Project Assessment application for the mixed-use Freedom West development at 710 McAllister Street in the Fillmore District of San Francisco. New documents provide greater insight and information about the $2 billion mixed-use expansion of the existing 382-unit non-profit housing co-op. This includes plans for residents to retain ownership while moving into market-rate quality units at no additional cost or rise in co-op fees. The Freedom West Homes Corporation is joined by the project sponsor MacFarlane Partners and Avanath Capital Management as the Freedom West 2.0 joint development team.

Renderings Revealed for Treehouse Proposal at 1100 North Mathilda Avenue, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County

New renderings have been revealed alongside a reduction in size for hotel rooms in the Treehouse at 1100 North Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County. The special development permit request will reduce the 358 guest rooms to 254. The development will refurbish around half a dozen existing structures and build a new six-story hotel, courtyard pool, greenhouse, and community room. Starwood Capital Group is responsible for the application, while Sheraton Hotel is the property owner.

Final Steel Beam Installed On Top 415 Natoma street, plus New Renderings of 5M, SoMa, San Francisco

Brookfield Properties has officially marked the ceremonial topping out of 415 Natoma Street, the largest office building to do so in San Francisco this year. The 395-foot structure is the largest of six planned buildings in the mixed-use 5M Development in SoMa. Three buildings will be newly constructed, while the other three are adaptively reused historic renovations. Once complete, 5M will create 856 new homes, of which 245 will be affordable, 853,000 square feet of Class A office space, 49,000 square feet of new public open space, and an array of retail spots. Brookfield is developing the project in partnership with Hearst.
