Update On San Jose’s 1212-1224 South Winchester Boulevard Hotel Project     

The city has performed an environmental review of a hotel project proposed at 1212-1224 South Winchester Boulevard, San Jose. Based on the review, the city prepared a Draft Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) so that the project includes mitigation measures to reduce the identified environmental impacts. Cord Associates is listed as the project applicant. Carpira Design Group is the architecture firm responsible for design concepts and construction.

Potrero Power Station Development Breaks Ground in Dogpatch, San Francisco

Construction has officially started on the Potrero Power Station development in Dogpatch, San Francisco, following yesterday’s groundbreaking ceremony. With Mayor London Breed in attendance, the event marks the beginning of a 29-acre redevelopment that will open up a portion of the city’s eastern waterfront to the public with 5.3 million square feet of offices, housing, and retail around public parks and transit featuring designs by Foster + Partners and Herzog & de Meuron. California Barrel Company of Associate Capital is responsible for the development.

Pre-Application Permits Filed for citizenM Hotel at 3 Facebook Way, Menlo Park

Pre-application permits have been filed for a 240-room citizenM Hotel at 300 Constitution Drive, or 3 Facebook Way, in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The five-story development will replace surface parking at the intersection of Chilco Street and Bayfront Expressway in an area dominated by Facebook offices. The proposed hotel has already received city council conditional approval in early 2020. The Netherlands-based citizenM Hotel chain is responsible for the development as the project owner.

Number 32: Hilton at 333 O’Farrell Street, Tenderloin, San Francisco

The 32nd tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built is 333 O’Farrell Street in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood by Union Square. The structure rises 493 feet tall to be the tallest structure exclusively for hotel use in the Bay, and was the second of three structures in the full-block Hilton San Francisco complex. 333 O’Farrell opened in 1971 with design by John Carl Warnecke & Associates.
