New Building permits have been filed for two affordable infills with a total of 272 apartments at 1633 Valencia Street and 3485 Cesar Chavez Street at the border of Bernal Heights and the Mission District of San Francisco. One permit is listed as a priority under the San Francisco Mayor’s Office’s Executive Directive 13-01, designed by Mayor Ed Lee in 2013 to expedite the approval process for designated plans. Mercy Housing is developing 1633 Valencia Street, and Sequoia Living is developing 3485 Cesar Chavez Street.
An updated design has been published for the planned three-story life sciences infill at 1030 O’Brien Drive in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The project will create a new destination for future life science research and development near Meta’s proposed Willow Village mixed-use district. R+M Properties is the project client.
Crews have finished the concrete foundation pour at 1510 Webster Street in Downtown Oakland for the future 19-story mass timber tower. The project has been designed and developed by Oakland-based oWOW and will eventually become the tallest mass timber building on the West Coast and the second tallest in the country. Once complete, the development will create 222 new homes above commercial and retail space.
