CEQA Analysis Positive for Housing at 3403 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland

Oakland-based developer and architecture firm oWOW has proposed building 73 new homes at 3403 Piedmont Avenue, less than ten minutes away from Downtown Oakland by AC Transit. Now, the Sawmill Residences have passed an important hurdle in the approval process. The environmental review by Lamphier-Gregory for the California Environmental Quality Act, or CEQA, concluded that the project will not have a significant impact on the area.

Renderings Revealed for Sacramento’s Latest Proposed Residential Skyscraper

New renderings have been published for Lot X, a proposed mixed-use development with a residential skyscraper component at 201 N Street in downtown Sacramento. If built, the 32-story structure would be the tallest residential skyscraper in the State Capitol. Beyond housing, Lot X would create an open plaza overlooked by townhomes, a five-story office building, and a seven-story garage. Southern Land Company is responsible for the application.

Over Quarter Billion Dollars in Funding Secured for 1330 South Bascom Avenue, San Jose

Construction funding has been secured for 1330 South Bascom Avenue, a large eight-story multi-family building in west San Jose. The development team received $284 million from an Australian pension and retirement fund to build The Maxwell, the nearly six hundred unit apartment component of the transit-oriented South Bascom Gateway Station masterplan. Newmark announced in a press release that construction is expected to start by the end of the month.
