San Jose Request Federal Funds for Affordable Housing Project

The City of San Jose has submitted a request for funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a six-story affordable housing project near Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project will create 99 units that will either become permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing units at 797 South Almaden Avenue. RCD Housing is the project developer.

The illustrations show what will be the fifth addition to the private college-prep institution’s campus in Pacific Heights, a three-story structure centered with a central gym, science classrooms, and outdoor space. Groundbreaking for Community and Recreation Center for Sunnydale HOPE SF

The official groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday morning for the Sunnydale Community Center in Visitacion Valley, San Francisco. The project, dubbed the Sunnydale Hub, will create a Wu Yee child care center, the Herz recreation center, and a new clubhouse for the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. The project is part of the Sunnydale HOPE SF master plan by Mercy Housing and Related Companies.
