The San Jose Planning Director is scheduled to review the Icon Echo proposal in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The latest iteration will produce 645 dwelling units across two structures overlooking City Hall and a block from Saint James Park. Local developer Urban Catalyst is the project sponsor and applicant.
The developer Eden Housing is celebrating the groundbreaking for one of its most recent affordable housing developments located at 700 East Saint John Street in San Jose. Several notable figures will be in attendance for the ceremony, including US Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, and CA State Treasurer Fiona Ma. The ceremony celebrates the successful progress of a project expected to deliver 68 new units of affordable housing to the area.
Plans will be reviewed tomorrow morning for a four-story complex at 945 South Bascom Avenue in the Fruitdale district of San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project would construct a new medical office and retail space on the corner lot just a couple of blocks away from the sprawling Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Campbell-based KLN Management is responsible for the application.
The San Jose Planning Commission is expected to review plans tonight for a residential infill at 1038 McKendrie Street in Central San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project will add a dozen condominiums to a vacant lot close to I-880. MCM Diversified is responsible for the application as the property owner.
San Jose’s Planning Director will conduct a hearing today to review proposed permits for the site at 161 Rancho Drive. The proposed project would involve clearing the existing property of all existing buildings and as many as 31 trees. This would make space for the construction of a new three-story apartment complex at the site.
