Demolition permits have been filed for a portion of CityView Mega development in downtown San Jose. The project proposal includes the development of a tech office campus at 170 Park Center Plaza, featuring retail and office space. Plans call for the demolition of existing buildings and the removal of twenty threes. Jay Paul Company is the project developer. Gensler is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

Meeting Today for SuZaCo Development at 17 South Fourth Street, Downtown San Jose

The San Jose Historic Landmark Commission’s Design Review Committee is meeting today to review plans for the three-parcel development at 17 South Fourth Street in Downtown San Jose. The project, called SuZaCo, will build glass-clad cross-laminated timber office buildings on and around the ornate two-story State Meat Market Building. San Jose-based Bayview Development Group, responsible for the nearly-complete residential Miro towers adjacent to SuZaCo, is the project developer.

Preliminary Proposal for New Downtown San Jose Tower to Replace Cinebar

Developers have requested a preliminary review for a 25-story mixed-use tower at 98 South 2nd Street in Downtown San Jose. The proposal will make adaptive re-use of the existing brick facade that had housed Cinebar, a local mainstay lost to a four-alarm fire in January of 2021. San Jose-based contractor Swenson Builders is responsible for the application via Green Valley Corporation.

Hanover Joins Pulte To Develop 500 Charles Cali Drive In San Jose

Plans to develop a new residential project at 500 Charles Cali Drive in San Jose have inched forward. The project proposal includes the construction of seven hundred apartments on a site currently occupied by Winchester Ranch Mobile Home Park. Texas-based developer Hanover Co. and Georgia-based Pulte Homes have come together to develop new residences on different sections of the current site. KTGY Architecture + Planning is managing the design concepts and construction.
