The City of San Jose recently celebrated the grand opening for new affordable housing at 1171 Mesa Drive in Almaden, Santa Clara County. The Mesa Terrace Community will create 46 homes for low-income families and transition-aged youth. Eden Housing is the developer and property manager.
Construction financing has been secured for the six-story affordable housing development at 551 Keyes Street in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The $87 million project will replace the vacant parcel with 99 homes. Charities Housing is the project sponsor.
A new residential project has been proposed for development at 972 Elm Street in San Jose. The project proposal includes the construction of residential units designed as three-story townhomes. Fahed Hbayeb Planning and Design is responsible for the project design.
A mew hotel project has been proposed for development at 1669 Monterey Road in San Jose. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story hotel offering guestrooms, onsite parking, outdoor dining and other amenities. The project calls for the demolition of five commercial structures totaling 20,500 square feet, removal of eight ordinance-size and three non-ordinance-size trees. Casa Linda Motel LLC is the property owner and project applicant.
The Supplemental Environmental Impact Report has been published for the 25-story residential infill at 439 South 4th Street in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The filing will create 210 new homes from the half-acre property close to the SJSU campus. 439 S. Fourth Street, LLC, associated with Nelly Amas, is the project applicant.
