The San Jose City College has broken ground on the Career Education Center facility, a flagship expansion for the campus in San Jose. Once complete, the building will provide a centralized destination for student programs, services, and community space. Steinberg Hart is responsible for the design.
The California State Court of Appeal has rejected a request by the Preservation Action Council of San Jose that would have prevented the construction of a hotel at 8 North Almaden Boulevard in Downtown San Jose. The proposal aims to replace a vacant parking lot with a 19-story Moxy Hotel immediately next to the historic Hotel De Anza, the main source of the contention. KT Urban is the project developer.

New plans have been approved for a residential project at 4300 Stevens Creek Boulevard in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The construction will create housing, shops, and a new hotel, but crucially not the once-proposed offices that would bring the desired job growth near housing proposed in the Urban Village Planning.
