Construction work has officially started for 600 7th Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project, named 7th and Brannan, has replaced a former surface parking lot and will open the eight-story affordable housing complex with units for formerly homeless adults and families by 2024. Mercy Housing is the project developer.
Development permits have been submitted seeking the approval of a remodeling project at 615 Grant Avenue in Chinatown, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the renovation of the interiors to create modern offices. Gelfand Partners Architects Inc is responsible for the design concepts.
New building permits have been filed for the proposed preschool facility for Children’s Day School at 333 Dolores Street in Mission Dolores, San Francisco. The project would create a new single-story facility next to the school’s existing three-story building. Jensen Architects is responsible for the design.
The project proposes to subdivide the existing lot into two lots measuring 2,500 square feet each. The project will move the existing single-family residence to one lot and construct a new residence on the second lot.
New renderings have been revealed for a 12-story hotel at 420 Sutter Street by Union Square, San Francisco. The updated plans were submitted to the San Francisco planning department this May, with design by Stanton Architecture. Schnitzer Properties is the project developer, replacing the former applicant Magna Hospitality.
