The Emeryville Planning Commission will study plans Thursday for three stocky towers overlooking the Eastshore Freeway at 1650 65th Street. If built, the project would create 144 apartments along with commercial space for offices and laboratories. Longfellow Real Estate Partners is responsible for the application.
New building permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 1666 7th Street in West Oakland. The proposal, named 7th & Campbell, would create 79 residential units, all to be priced as affordable housing for extremely low-income households, earning between 0-30% of the Area Median Income. Oakland & the World Enterprises is the project sponsor, led by OAW’s CEO and former Black Panther Party chairwoman, Elaine Brown.
The new ZEISS office center at 5300 Central Parkway in Dublin, Alameda County, is now complete. Named the ZEISS Innovation Center, the three-story office building will centralize the firm’s previous footprint split between Dublin and Pleasanton with purpose-built facilities for the company’s evolving needs.
