The proposal will reshape nearly three acres on the site of a former Century 24 dome theater close to Santana Row. SyRES Properties is the project applicant.

The project proposal includes the development of a three-story mixed-use structure offering spaces for residential and retail uses. The project requires the demolition of an existing one-story building on the site. CMD Architecture is responsible for the designs.

The proposal, near the northern edge of Downtown San Jose, will replace a two-story commercial structure with 118 homes, including 18 affordable units. Msasa Properties LLC, an anonymous company, is the project applicant.
Construction has started for the four-story affordable housing complex at 231 Grant Avenue in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The project will open 110 units for teachers, school district staff, and their families, including staff in Santa Clara County and several southern San Mateo County school districts. The project has been a joint venture between Abode Communities and Mercy Housing.

This paves the way for the applicant to receive a streamlined ministerial review for the proposed eight-story permanently affordable housing proposal to be called Woolsey Gardens. NorCal Community Land Trust is responsible for the application.
