Broadway Cove and 735 Davis Celebrate Their Grand Opening In Embarcadero, San Francisco

Mayor London N. Breed and the City of San Francisco recently celebrated the grand opening of two new affordable housing developments located at 88 Broadway in Embarcadero, San Francisco. The two housing developments are named Broadway Cove and 735 Davis. Broadway Cove consists of 125 permanently affordable apartments for families, while 735 Davis consists of 53 units for seniors. BRIDGE Housing and The John Stewart Company are the project developers. Leddy Maytum Stacy is responsible for the design concepts, and Cahill Contractors is also on the project team.

PPA Filed for Garage-to-Housing at 55 Francisco Street, North Beach

A new preliminary project assessment has been filed, disclosing amended plans for the residential redevelopment of 55 Francisco Street, a multi-level parking garage in North Beach, San Francisco. The PPA reveals fewer apartments could be built than initially proposed. Atlanta-based Jamestown LP, a real estate investment company, is managing the development.

Construction Underway on Yerba Buena Island, San Francisco

San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Island, in the water halfway between the city and Oakland, is being redeveloped with over two hundred apartments. Commuters on the Bay Bridge will have already noticed The Bristol Residences, a newly-clad apartment complex facing the East Bay. Now, groundbreaking has occurred and construction is underway for the Townhomes and the Flats residences. San Francisco-based Stockbridge Capital Group and the developer Wilson Meany are jointly developing for the project. CAHill is responsible for construction.

Meeting Scheduled for 950 Monroe Street, Santa Clara

The City of Santa Clara has scheduled a public review today for 950 Monroe Street, a mixed-use proposal less than ten minutes away from the Santa Clara University campus. The six-story building is expected to add 57 dwelling units and new ground-floor retail to the Santa Clara County housing market. Menlo Park-based Lamb Partners is responsible for the development.

Permits Filed For a Mixed-Use Project At 2114 MacArthur Boulevard In Oakland

Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a mixed-use project proposed at 2114 MacArthur Boulevard in Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a building featuring residential and commercial spaces along with onsite parking spaces. 2114 MacArthur LLC is the property owner. RG Architecture, Inc is responsible for the design concepts.

A new preliminary application has been filed to fast-track the review for 3135 San Pablo Avenue, West Oakland. Along with a request to use Senate Bill 330, new renderings have been revealed. The six-story building will create 73 new senior dwelling units and ground-level commercial space. Satellite Affordable Housing Associates is responsible for the application as the sponsor, while Saint Mary’s Center is the property owner.

Foundation Permits Filed for Poet’s Place at 2435 San Pablo Avenue, Southwest Berkeley

New building permits have been filed for a four-story housing project at 2435 San Pablo Avenue in Southwest Berkeley. The permit calls for foundation, grading, and shoring for the project to add forty new sleeping units and a manager’s apartment. The Wang Brothers Investments, an Orinda-based firm, is responsible for the project as the owner.

New Townhome Project Proposed At Oak Road In Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County

A new townhome project has been proposed in the Walnut Creek area in Contra Costa County. The project proposal includes the development of 19 three-story condominium buildings. SDG Architects is responsible for the design concepts and construction.

Construction Underway for Palo Alto Public Safety Building at 250 Sherman Avenue

Construction work has been making progress for the new Palo Alto Public Safety Building at 250 Sherman Avenue in Palo Alto’s Evergreen Park neighborhood. Groundbreaking occurred in June of this year, replacing downtown surface parking with a three-story municipal office building for the Santa Clara County city. The building will function as a police station and administration office for the fire and police departments.

Renderings Revealed for 401 1st Avenue, Upper Land Park, Sacramento

New renderings have been published for the mixed-use development of 401 1st Avenue in Upper Land Park, Sacramento. The proposal would add 49 new apartments above commercial space adjacent to the over eight hundred-unit large Mill at Broadway neighborhood project currently under construction. REgroup, the Sacramento-based architecture firm, is managing the project.
