Urban Catalyst is bringing their plan for a 169-unit residential care facility at 470 West San Carlos Street in Downtown San Jose to the city’s planning commission later today. The six-story structure will span 185,000 square feet, offering nursing assistance, communal dining, lounge areas, library, salon, and open space. City staff is recommending that the council conditionally approve the project.
Development permits have been filed for new residential construction on 9869 MacArthur Boulevard in Elmhurst, Oakland. The proposal includes the new construction of a three-story six-unit townhouse style condominium structure. Fournier Design Studio is managing the design and project. C2 Collaborative is the landscape architect.
Urban Catalyst, a Silicon Valley real estate opportunity zone fund, has plans to build a 21-story high-end student housing tower right next to the San Jose State University campus in the fast-urbanizing downtown San Jose. The 250-foot tower will yield 335,260 square feet with capacity for over 850 student residents, parking for cars and bicycles, and shared amenities. Permits filed in June and July of this year are currently under review by the city.
