A new affordable housing project has been approved for development at 1616 F Street in Sacramento. The project proposal includes the development of an LGBTQ-friendly housing community for seniors at affordable rates. The project application requests commercial paln review. Sacramento-based non-profit Mutual Housing California is the project developer. Mogavero Architects is responsible for the design concepts.
Plans for two new homes have been filed for 201 Gellert Drive in Lakeshore, San Francisco. Construction would replace vacant land between Gellert Drive and Lake Merced Boulevard. Kotas/Pantaleoni Architects, a San Francisco-based office founded in 1981, will be responsible for the design.
Construction is expected to start next year for Orchard Workspace, a 20-story office proposal at 300 South 1st Street in Downtown San Jose. The news comes from the publication of the Draft Environmental Impact Report and the start of a public review period. The project aims to replace the 2.8-acre Valley Title lot with over a million square feet of office space and a large public market.
Orchard Workspace is one of seven projects in the Westbank Campus, a masterplan vision being developed by Westbank and Urban Community.
Updated plans have been filed for the four-story residential infill at 5500 Mission Street in San Francisco’s Outer Mission neighborhood. The project will replace a vacant lot with 24 new homes and a childcare facility. Schaub Li Architects is managing the design.
Remodeling and new construction have been proposed at 2174 California Street in Pacific Heights, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the remodification of a three-story building with a basement garage. The basement is proposed to be converted to house accessory dwelling units (ADUs) along with replacing the exterior parking with a new building. Huang Iboshi Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
