The site was formerly home to the Friendship Christian Center. Geral Agee Ministries and the Friendship Community Development Corporation are listed as the property owners. Kodama Diseno Architects is responsible for the designs. Tanaka Design Group is the landscape architect.

A new residential project has been proposed for 701 Dos Rios Street in River District, Sacramento. The project proposal includes the construction of a new townhome community offering hundreds of townhomes. The project site was previously occupied by the remains of a burnt-out industrial building. The project is appealed by a new property owner, Peter Saetes, who is a housing developer. City records state that Saetes bought the property for $3.7 million, operating as Dos Rios Vine LLC. Saete. The developer is working with a partner in Beverly Hills for this project. The Legacy Riverviews LLC is listed as the previous property owner.

Urban Catalyst Floats Housing Instead of Offices at Icon/Echo

Urban Catalyst is now considering adjusting plans for Icon/Echo by replacing the office component with more housing in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The plan was floated by the developer founder, Erik Hayden, and reported by George Avalos for the Bay Area News Group. If altered, Icon/Echo could create over a thousand units from the two-acre parcel.

Reduced Plan Filed for 10550 International Boulevard, Oakland

Reduced development permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 10550 International Boulevard by the southern border of Oakland, Alameda County. The project will rise six floors with 140 units of affordable and market-rate homes, a change from the last application for 207 affordable apartments. AMG & Associates is the project developer.

Meeting Thursday For Increased Housing of Stonestown Galleria, San Francisco

San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans to increase the residential capacity of the Stonestown Galleria master plan. The new plan will create nearly 3,500 residences and reduce non-retail sales and service spaces. To add more housing, the plans for a hotel have been removed. Brookfield Properties is the developer, and the meeting is scheduled for this Thursday.

AIASF Opens Center for Architecture + Design in Historic San Francisco Building

The American Institute of Architects, San Francisco, opened its new headquarters and the Center for Architecture + Design last Friday at 140 Sutter Street in downtown San Francisco. The civic-minded institution will provide a new cultural hub for lectures, events, and film screenings inside the historic Hallidie Building. Aidlin Darling Design, a San Francisco-based architecture firm, is responsible for the interior design, working alongside a team of collaborators.

City Requests $47 Million To Pay Construction Loan for Hotel Diva Conversion

The City’s Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing and the Episcopal Community Services have submitted a request to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for a $47.38 million permanent loan related to the conversion of Hotel Diva at 440 Geary Street into permanent supportive housing. The financing will pay off the construction loan from the San Francisco Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF). Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) with co-applicant Episcopal Community Services (ECS) as owner and service provider.
