In April the City of Oakland announced the acquisition of the Extended Stay America at 3650 Mandela Parkway by the city’s partners Memar Properties and The Housing Consortium of the East Bay. The project is now under review for conversation to long-term affordable housing, with a plan of serving very low and extremely low-income classifications.

SteelWave has proposed a 144,500 square foot development on the Alameda-Oakland Estuary waterfront to be used for laboratory and life sciences. The project is located on the old Alameda Shipways site that has sat vacant for years. The plan replaces a previous residential project proposed by SteelWave in 2018 on the same site. The new project will be designed by MBH Architects.

Preliminary Permits For 3625 Fong Ranch Road in South Natomas, Sacramento

Preliminary permits have been filed for an amended residential project at 3625 Fong Ranch Road in South Natomas, Sacramento. The proposal, dubbed the Russell @ Truxel, is now expected to contain just 119 affordable apartments and around a hundred single-family homes, far less than the over five hundred apartment units anticipated two years ago. Anton Development Company is the project developer.

The project located at 435 East 3rd Avenue would construct at 39,893 square foot building brining both housing and office space to the area.
