Preliminary plans have been filed for a new five-story residential redevelopment at 3240 Scott Boulevard in Santa Clara, Santa Clara County. The project will bring well over a hundred homes to the site close to a popular San Tomas Aquino Creek. Redwood City-based Transbay Law Group is the project applicant, filing on behalf of property owner Axin LLC.
New plans have surfaced for a 23-story residential tower at 1965 Market Street in San Francisco close to the Castro. The tower is a remarkable increase from the same developer’s initial plans to add two hundred rental apartments to the historic property at the corner of Market Street and Duboce Avenue. Keller Grover Properties is the project applicant.
Preliminary permits have been filed for a 28-story tower at 262 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The mixed-use project would bring over five hundred apartments across from San Jose City Hall. The planning application does not identify the developer.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote later today to provide a $115.8 million construction loan for affordable housing at Transbay Block 2 East. The proposal is expected to rise 17 stories tall and bring 184 below-market-rate rental apartments to 200 Folsom Street in the heart of the densely-developed Transbay neighborhood. Mercy Housing is the project sponsor.
Construction is starting today on 101 East 12th Street, an affordable housing infill near the southern end of Lake Merritt in Merritt, Oakland. Members of the project team and public officials will gather later this morning to witness the groundbreaking for the six-story complex, completing a winding narrative that stretches back over a decade.
