The proposal will include demolition of a single-family residential building at 228 Clara Street, and building on top a vacant lot at 224 Clara Street to produce a five-story apartment building with nine units. The project will also include six on-site parking spaces. Stanley Saitowitz | Natoma Architects Inc. is managing the project, and Design Everest is serving as the structural engineer.

Pre-application permits have been filed for a mixed-use structure at 4311 MacArthur Boulevard between Laurel and Redwood Heights, Oakland. This resurrects hope for developing the vacant lot by AMG & Associates. The firm had pursued a smaller project in March 2010, though it withdrew in 2016. New permits describe a 197-unit mixed-use affordable housing development to qualify for Senate Bill 35 (SB35) to expedite approval.

The properties will be a part of the Relevae at Wilder suburban development by Landsea Homes. Each of the houses will range between 2,377 and 3,474 square feet, offering between three to four bedrooms.

The project is in the news following the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) publication, with updated numbers and positive indications for its development. Sobrato’s plans would transform the parking lot in the city center into an active hub for the growing city.

Recent demolition permits have been filed to make way for a mixed-use 18-story tower at 921 Howard Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The permits receive prioritization thanks to the 2013 Executive Directive #13-01, signed by the late Mayor Edwin Lee. The Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is the property owner and is overseeing that all 203 units will be sold as affordable housing.

Permits Approved for New Hotel at 730 I Street, Downtown Sacramento

Planning permits have been approved for a new eight-story hotel at 730 I Street in Downtown Sacramento, along with the rehabilitation of a Mid-Century modern office structure. The development, dubbed ‘The Hardin,’ would open a 179-key AC Hotel Marriott two blocks from the Golden 1 Center sports stadium and six blocks from the State Capitol. The American Hospitality Services and Sacramento-based Miry Development through 730 I Street Investors LLC are responsible for the project.
