Crews have finished work on the new addition and renovations of the 58-year-old Cathedral School at 1275 Sacramento Street in Nob Hill, San Francisco. A two-story academic space designed by the Office of Charles F. Bloszeis is the first piece of modernist architecture for the historic urban campus. Truebeck Construction was the project’s general contractor.
Excavation work is underway at Mission Bay South Block 14, preparing to construct the San Francisco neighborhood’s new public school. The facilities will sit on a 2.5-acre site, opening up classrooms and community facilities to boost all students and teachers in the San Francisco Unified School District system. DLR Group is the project architect.
Demolition permits have been filed for the existing three portable buildings at the inner lot of 333 Dolores Street in Mission Dolores, San Francisco. The permits come ahead of plans for a permanent facility within the Children’s Day School campus. Jensen Architects is responsible for the design.
New renderings have been published along with permit progress for construction at 3150 California Street for San Francisco University High School. The illustrations show what will be the fifth addition to the private college-prep institution’s campus in Pacific Heights, a three-story structure centered with a central gym, science classrooms, and outdoor space. Monitoring Conditions and Mitigation Measures for construction have been published.
Samuel Merritt University has secured a $139 million bond for constructing their proposed ten-story central campus at 525 12th Street in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. Along with the bond, SMU is investing $120 million. The over quarter billion dollar investment keeps SMU on schedule for groundbreaking later this year, having received approval in November. Strada is the project developer.
