Renderings Revealed for 3559-3589 Coolidge Avenue, Dimond District, Oakland

New building permits have been filed to construct four single-unit structures at 3559-3589 Coolidge Avenue, located in Oakland’s Dimond District. The project was approved in 2018, at which time the previous owners sold the entitlement for nearly half a million dollars. Planning permits were filed in 2019 for a three-unit plan by Ripple Ideas LLC, but the filing remains incomplete, and the new building applications show the four-unit plan moving forward.

Facade Nearly Complete at 277 27th Street, Northgate-Waverly, Oakland

Holland Partner Group is overseeing the construction of an 18-story residential building at 277 27th Street in Northgate-Waverly, bordering Downtown Oakland. A recent site visit shows construction has topped out, and most of the exterior facade is installed. Once complete, the apartment building, called VESPR or 24th and Harrison, will bring 405 apartments and 65,000 square feet of ground-level retail.

Development permits have been filed and approved for a six-story residential development at 2116 Brush Street in Ralph Bunche, West Oakland. The project will transform a currently vacant parcel on Downtown Oakland’s border and just under fifteen minutes walk from the 19th Street Oakland BART station. Oak Brook Partners is responsible for the development, dubbed Villa Oakland.

Seagate Properties Plans 88 Grand Avenue Tower in Downtown Oakland

Seagate Properties is working to build a 395-foot mixed-use tower at 88 Grand Avenue in the heart of Downtown Oakland. The development permits had been filed in 2018 and approved in 2020. The full structure will provide retail and residential housing on the Central Business District’s northern side, half a block from Broadway. With planning approved, the next step to anticipate will be groundbreaking.
