Pre-application permits have been filed for a four-unit addition to 3210 Harrison Street, located between Pill Hill and Adams Point by Downtown Oakland. The project would produce a three-story building while retaining an existing mixed-use building on the parcel. Shan Masuda Design is listed as the applicant and architect, while Oakland-based Ahmed and Ishmael are responsible for the development operating through 3210 Harrison LLC.

Oakland Planning Commission held a design review meeting discussing the Brooklyn Basin Marina Expansion Project in Oakland. The project is a proposed revision to the Brooklyn Basin Project (formerly known as Oak to 9th Street Project). The proposal includes the addition of approximately 10 acres of water surface area to accommodate the proposed marina expansion. Signature Development Group of Oakland and Beijing-based Zarsion Holdings Group are the project developers.

Future Remains Uncertain for the Oakland A’s $12 Billion Howard Terminal Development

The Oakland City Council voted to approve a financial term sheet for Howard Terminal, a mixed-use development with housing, offices, and a new baseball stadium proposed by the Oakland A’s with an estimated $12 billion price tag. However, A’s president David Kaval has repeatedly signaled that yesterday’s approval could spell the end of the team’s future in Oakland because the term sheet approved is not what the team wanted. While Mayor Libby Schaaf is hopeful about the project’s future, Kaval was noncommittal about if the team would continue to negotiate. As it stands, the development is proceeding on thin ice.
