SFMTA Proposed Permanent Slow Streets Program for San Francisco

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency has filed a project profile application with plans to make the Slow Streets Program permanent. Nearly thirty slow-street corridors have been opened since the program started in April last year. A dozen and a half corridors are under consideration to be permanent, with three permanent slow streets in the design phase. The proposal is now under review by the San Francisco Planning Department.

Permits Filed For New Apartments At 1901 8th Street, Sacramento

Permits have been filed seeking the approval of new apartments at 1901 8th Street in Sacramento. The project proposal includes the construction of residences above Insight Coffee Roasters near downtown Sacramento. Williams & Paddon Architects and Planners is managing the design concepts and the construction. Urban Elements LLC is the developer. Fulcrum Redding LLC is the property owner that purchased the property in 2015 for $3.4 million.

Crane Dismantling Starts for 1028 Market Street, Tenderloin, San Francisco

A new apartment building overlooking Market Street is nearing the opening point. Crews have begun dismantling the crane for 1028 Market Street in the southeast corner of San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood. The project will produce affordable and market-rate housing blocks away from two BART Stations. The Olympic Residential Group and Tidewater Capital are responsible for the development.

Updated Plans Revealed for 2550 Irving Street, Sunset District, San Francisco

The general plan referral application has been filed for a proposed seven-story affordable housing building at 2550 Irving Street in San Francisco’s Sunset District neighborhood. The mid-density development would add 98 new units extending from 26th to 27th Avenue. The Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is responsible for the project.

Permits have been filed, and a design review is pending for a new recycling facility at 2308 Wake Avenue, Oakland. The project proposal includes constructing a recycling facility on vacant land that formerly served as Oakland Army Base. A Major Conditional Use Permit (CUP) has been submitted.

The SoMa development will add 416 new dwelling units to the San Francisco housing market, along with retail and an updated home for the City Ballet School. Design Review Occurring Today For 247-295 Commercial Street, Sunnyvale

Sunnyvale Planning Commission will be conducting a study session to review a proposal for two new hotel buildings at 247-295 Commercial Street, Sunnyvale. The project proposal consists of the construction of two hotels with shared underground parking. The project requires a Tentative Map to allow a site subdivision and merger. Lowney Architecture is managing the design concepts and construction. One Union Studio is the interior designer.
