Preliminary permits have been filed for a new residential infill project at 6200 Shattuck Avenue in the Bushrod neighborhood of Oakland. The application describes creating a few dozen condominiums using shipping containers as the construction material. The application was filed by a Belmont-based individual.
Preliminary permits have been filed again for a low-density residential development at 205 West Middle Avenue in Morgan Hill, Santa Clara County. The project looks to add a mix of townhomes and single-family housing to an undeveloped field on the outskirts of the city. The Shanghai-based developer Henghou Group is responsible for the application.
Construction financing has been secured alongside a property deal for a seven-story apartment complex at 1271-1279 East Julian Street close to the future Little Portugal BART Station in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The development is now poised to add over three hundred units of affordable housing. Corporation for Better Housing and JSL Real Estate are jointly responsible for the project as the new property owners.
Entitlements have been reaffirmed for the affordable housing proposal at Railroad Avenue and L Street in Downtown Livermore, Alameda County. The plans consist of 130 units within two structures in the center of the sprawling suburban city, separated by a future Veterans Park. Eden Housing is responsible for the development.
Early this year development applications were submitted for the demolition and construction of a new development at 445 Ortega Street in San Francisco. Since SF YIMBY’s last update on the site in February, new documents have been filed with the city in the form of a preliminary application that if accepted will freeze planning codes and standards for the site as they are now, regardless of changes made to policy before a full application can be approved.
