Swinerton Tops Off The Canyon in Mission Rock, San Francisco

Swinerton crews have topped off The Canyon, the tallest residential tower in San Francisco to reach the milestone in 2022. The Canyon is a 23-story residential tower rising on Parcel A in the Mission Rock development along the Mission Bay waterfront. The master plan by Mission Rock Partners, a joint venture between the San Francisco Giants and Tishman Speyer, is replacing 28 acres of former surface parking with over a thousand units of housing, offices, retail, and new public parks.

Meeting Today for Greystar’s 1,075-Unit Freedom Circle Project in Santa Clara

The Santa Clara Planning Commission will review plans today for Greystar’s Freedom Circle project, a 13.3-acre development with over a thousand homes and retail in the Freedom Circle Focus Area. The project would create three new apartment buildings with one retail space and a two-acre public park. The Intel Corporation is the property owner.

New renderings have been published for Menlo Flats, an eight-story residential infill located at 165 Jefferson Drive in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The project will replace a single-story office building with housing, offices, public open space, and parking. Greystar is responsible for the application, filing through Menlo Park Flats Venture LLC.

Construction is underway for 1175 Aster Avenue, a transit-oriented apartment complex in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County. The 412-unit building is within walking distance of Caltrain’s Lawrence Station, connecting riders from San Francisco through San Jose, as far south as Gilroy. Olympic Residential Group is responsible for the master plan, with design by Studio T Square.

Renderings for the Monarch Bay Shoreline Project in San Leandro

Updated renderings have been revealed with detailed plans for the Monarch Bay Shoreline Development project, poised to reshape 75 acres of the San Leandro waterfront. The plans would reshape a swath of surface parking and a portion of an existing golf course into 491 residential units, a 210-room hotel, and shops between Marina Park and the Oakland International Airport in Alameda County. The project is a public-private partnership with the City of San Leandro and Cal Coast Companies.

Renderings Revealed for Sacramento’s Latest Proposed Residential Skyscraper

New renderings have been published for Lot X, a proposed mixed-use development with a residential skyscraper component at 201 N Street in downtown Sacramento. If built, the 32-story structure would be the tallest residential skyscraper in the State Capitol. Beyond housing, Lot X would create an open plaza overlooked by townhomes, a five-story office building, and a seven-story garage. Southern Land Company is responsible for the application.

Tomorrow, new plans will be reviewed for an eight-story residential project at 1766 El Camino Real, located by the Millbrae BART Station in Burlingame, San Mateo County. The project will rise above the El Camino highway, bringing 311 new apartments across from the Mills-Peninsula Medical Center, various shops, and a grocery store. Carmel Partners is responsible for the application.

The proposal will create 405 apartments and even more parking, two blocks away from the Millbrae transit station. The Hanover Company, based in Danville, is responsible for the application.

New plans have been filed to replace a long-time vacant parcel with a three-story mixed-use project at 433 Main Street in Half Moon Bay, San Mateo County. Story poles have been added to the site, outlining the structure that may create six new apartments and ground-floor retail along the busy commercial street. Edward C. Love Architects, a local firm, is responsible for the design.

Updated designs have been published for a six-story mixed-use project at 3260 26th Street in San Francisco’s Mission District. The proposal will replace a single-story automobile repair shop with 37 new homes above ground-level retail. Kerman Morris Architects is managing the design.
