Three Of Four Towers Near Topping Out in Phase One of Mission Rock in Mission Bay, San Francisco

Construction has topped out for Buildings B and G in Mission Rock, with Building A near the same milestone, and groundbreaking imminent for Building F. As phase one of the project speeds towards completion, more is expected from one of the most prominent projects to complete San Francisco’s decades-long plan to replace surface parking in Mission Bay with a vibrant transit-oriented neighborhood. Mission Rock is being led by Mission Rock Partner, a joint venture with Tishman Speyer and the San Francisco Giants.

Concrete is now above street level for the affordable housing tower at 921 Howard Street, across from 5M in SoMa, San Francisco. The project will add 203 new homes close to public transit. The project is being developed by a joint venture with Curtis Development and the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation.

Meeting Tomorrow for Redesigned 1900 Diamond Street, San Francisco

The San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to vote tomorrow on redesigned plans for 24 units at 1900 Diamond Street in San Francisco. The new iteration breaks away from the former linear block to preserve ten trees, create a public viewing platform, and obscure the project with setbacks away from the sidewalk along Diamond Street. Solomon Cordwell Buenz, an international firm with offices in San Francisco, is the project architect.

San Mateo Affordable Housing and Parking Planned for Downtown Location

The City of San Mateo is working with MidPen Housing to bring new housing and a large garage to two downtown parcels, 480 East 4th Avenue and 400 East 5th Avenue. The San Mateo County proposal will bring 225 new units at Kiku Crossing and parking for nearly seven hundred vehicles, despite being near mass transit. MidPen Housing is the property owner.

Public Review Starts for 1100 El Camino Real, Millbrae, San Mateo County

The Sustainable Communities Environmental Assessment has been filed for 1100 El Camino Real, starting the public review period by the City of Millbrae, in San Mateo County. The mixed-use project aims to create 384 new homes and a new hotel a little over a mile away from BART, Caltrain, and SFO. Anton DevCo is the project developer.

The City of Burlingame is to review details for a residential infill at One Adrian Court, located nearby the Millbrae BART Station and its adjacent mixed-use expansion, Gateway at Millbrae. The proposal will replace the existing single-story commercial structure plus surface parking with 265 new apartments. SummerHill Apartments is responsible for the project.

A reduced new application has been filed for the eight-structure residential proposal for 2629 5th Street in Upper Land Park, Sacramento. Dubbed Maven on 5th, the proposal will construct a Garden Style apartment complex with several structures and a clubhouse. 29th Street Capital Real Estate Investments is sponsoring the development.

New renderings have been published for the six-story mixed-use proposal for 130-134 Berkeley Square, located between Shattuck Avenue and Kala Bagai Way in Alameda County, across from the rising construction at 2129 Shattuck Avenue. The project will create 50 new homes across from the Downtown Berkeley BART station. Studio KDA is responsible for the design.

Lowe Buys Land for Sequoia Station Redevelopment, Redwood City

Development plans are moving forward for Sequoia Station, a six-structure mixed-use proposal to reshape the downtown of San Mateo County’s third-largest city. The Los Angeles-based private real estate company, Lowe, has spent $73 million acquiring the second half of the block around 1057 El Camino Real in Redwood City. The firm looks to construct three million square feet of housing and offices, parking, and public open space.

Updated Plans Published for 1900 Diamond Street In Diamond Heights, San Francisco

Updated plans have been filed, showing continued work behind the scenes for the proposed residential development at 1900 Diamond Street, or 5367 Diamond Heights Boulevard in San Francisco’s Diamond Heights neighborhood. The project team is aiming to build 24 residential units across the vacant 0.8-acres of land. Solomon Cordwell Buenz is responsible for the design.
