Construction Nears Topping Out for 525 East Santa Clara Street, Naglee Park, San Jose

Construction is underway for the new student housing project at 525 East Santa Clara Street, across from the Naglee Park neighborhood in San Jose. The complex will soon add 86 new units and 11,870 square feet of commercial space to the San Jose State University market. San Mateo-based Horizon Real Properties Holdings is responsible for the development, dubbed ‘Sparta’ after the local University’s sports teams.

Expanded Plans Revealed for Eterna Tower at 17 East Santa Clara Street, Downtown San Jose

San Jose’s Design Review Committee is scheduled to review the mixed-use Eterna Tower high-rise proposal for 17 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose. The project has doubled in size after SFYIMBY’s last coverage in September 2020. The plan now includes 200 rooms on top of ground-floor retail. San Francisco-based ROYGBIV Real Estate Development is responsible for the project as the property owner.

A mixed-use project slated for development at 3896 Stevens Creek Boulevard in West Vally, San Jose, will break ground this year. The project proposal includes Class A office space, retail space on the ground floor, and a three-story fitness-wellness center. HKS Architects is managing the design concepts and construction. Dallas-based real estate firm Cypress Equities and Minnesota-based Life Time Fitness are the project developers. Real estate firm CBRE Group is handling leasing on the project.
