Proposed BART Entrance In 17 East Santa Clara Street, Downtown San Jose

A new design iteration has been published for 17 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose, outlining facade changes and a future entrance for the city’s 2030 BART/VTA station. The proposal, to be called Eterna Tower, would add 200 new dwelling units to the Silicon Valley housing market. San Francisco-based ROYGBIV Real Estate Development is responsible for the project as the property owner.

Demo Permits Filed, New Church Proposed for 389 East Santa Clara Street, San Jose

Demolition permits have been filed 389 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose. The site is currently occupied by surface parking and the remaining elements of the church for the Our Lady of La Vang Parish, which was destroyed by a fire in 2012. Once the property is cleared, construction will begin on a new religious space for the Diocese of San Jose and Our Lady of La Vang Parish. The development project is expected to cost over $50 million.

New plans have been published regarding Cambrian Park Plaza, an 18.13-acre mixed-use development in Willow Glen, San Jose. The proposal will replace a 168,460 square feet commercial strip mall and surface parking with housing, commercial space, and open parks heavily inspired by several Italian cities. The new updates include new illustrations, preservation of the carousel at Cambrian Park Plaza, and shifting the location for townhomes. Weingarten Realty Investors is responsible for the development as the property owner.
