South City To Consider Expanded Plans for Gateway of Pacific Phase Four

The South San Francisco planning commission will review expanded plans for Gateway of Pacific phase four tonight. The three-structure phase, to be addressed as 900 Gateway Boulevard, will be the penultimate portion of a development that has already had a significant contribution to the South City East Side skyline in the north of San Mateo County. The developer, BioMed Realty, has proposed to increase the North Building from five to nine stories tall.

Meeting Tomorrow for $1 Billion Southline Plan in South San Francisco

The South San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to meet tomorrow evening to discuss plans for Southline, a $1 Billion 28.5-acre commercial development in San Mateo County by the San Bruno BART station. City staff recommends that the commission approve the project, led by Menlo Park-based real estate developer Lane Partners with investment from Goldman Sachs.

San Mateo Planning Commission Recommends Approval for 500 East 3rd Avenue

The San Mateo Planning Commission has voted to recommend approval of expanded plans for Block 21, a mixed-use development at 500 East 3rd Street. The proposal will replace low-density buildings with six stories of offices and over a hundred housing units. Windy Hill Property Ventures is responsible for the project.

Oakland Design Review Committee To Review Two Versions of 1919 Webster Street

Less than a month after YIMBY covered new renderings, the Oakland Design Review Committee is scheduled to review plans for 1919 Webster Street in Downtown Oakland. The meeting, scheduled for today at 3 PM, will review plans for two projects rising either 280 or 400 feet high. Ellis Partners is responsible for the application.

Oakland Design Review Committee To Review Senior Housing in Lake Merritt BART Project

The Oakland Design Review Committee is scheduled to review plans for senior housing at 51 9th Street in Downtown Oakland this afternoon. The project, dubbed Building B, is part of Lake Merritt BART Station Development Phase One, which will reshape surfacing parking with hundreds of homes. The master plan is being developed by a joint venture with Strada Investment Group and the Oakland-based East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation.

The project has added 185 new homes to the city’s market, with interiors by IwamotoScott Architecture. The Olympic Residential Group and Tidewater Capital are responsible for the development.

Construction is moving quickly for Mission Rock, the mixed-use waterfront development with offices, housing, and public open space in Mission Bay. Crews have started with the first four of eleven new structures to replace 28 acres of surface parking once used for the San Francisco Giants Oracle Park visitors. Now, Buildings A and G are a dramatic backdrop looking over the stadium, and YIMBY is there to photograph it.

A new rendering has been revealed for the six-story project, set to rise directly across from the nearby BART Station, end of the line in San Mateo County. Carmel Partners, who purchased the former Navy housing site in 2017, is responsible for the application. The proposal will create 227 homes along with new public open space.
