Meeting Scheduled For Google’s Middlefield Park Project In Mountain View

A project review meeting has been scheduled for a large-scale Google project in Mountain View. The project proposal includes 1,000 plus residential units, including affordable housing, office space, and retail space. Google Inc is the project applicant. Lendlease is the project developer. SERA Architects is responsible for the master planning, and HASSEL is managing the urban design. Landscaping is managed by CMG.

Permits Filed for Senior Housing Townhouses in Santa Clara’s Agrihood Development

New building permits have been filed for three townhouse structures to be built at 1834 Worthington Circle as part of Santa Clara’s Agrihood showpiece development. The three buildings will contribute 36 new dwelling units as part of the multi-structure 361-unit project with an acre and a half of agricultural land. The development is a private-public partnership with the City of Santa Clara and Core Companies.

Meeting Today for SuZaCo Development at 17 South Fourth Street, Downtown San Jose

The San Jose Historic Landmark Commission’s Design Review Committee is meeting today to review plans for the three-parcel development at 17 South Fourth Street in Downtown San Jose. The project, called SuZaCo, will build glass-clad cross-laminated timber office buildings on and around the ornate two-story State Meat Market Building. San Jose-based Bayview Development Group, responsible for the nearly-complete residential Miro towers adjacent to SuZaCo, is the project developer.

Building Permits Filed for Gateway Crossings at 350 Chastain Place, Santa Clara

Building permits have been filed for 350 Chastain Place, a seven-story residential building in Gateway Crossings, Santa Clara. The 407-unit permit is for the first building in Gateway Crossings, a five-structure proposal with housing, retail, public open space, and a new hotel across from the San Jose International Airport and Santa Clara Caltrain/future BART Station. Holland Partner Group is responsible for the development after leasing the property from Hunter Properties.

Preliminary Proposal for New Downtown San Jose Tower to Replace Cinebar

Developers have requested a preliminary review for a 25-story mixed-use tower at 98 South 2nd Street in Downtown San Jose. The proposal will make adaptive re-use of the existing brick facade that had housed Cinebar, a local mainstay lost to a four-alarm fire in January of 2021. San Jose-based contractor Swenson Builders is responsible for the application via Green Valley Corporation.
