The Mountain View Planning Commission has approved plans for a six-story affordable housing project with over a hundred homes at 1020 Terra Bella Avenue in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The plans will reshape a portion of a storage facility by Highway 101. Alta Housing is the project sponsor and developer.
New permits have been filed seeking entitlement for a sixteen-townhouse project at 4200 Acacia Avenue in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The plans split the housing between four structures, with drives covering a sizable portion of the 0.8-acre lot. Two units will be designated as affordable housing. Dividend Homes, a Morgan Hill-based homebuilder, is the project applicant.
New preliminary plans have been revealed for a twenty-unit project at 11511 Summit Wood Road in Los Altos Hills, Santa Clara County. The residential proposal is the first seen in the Bay Area to use the highly anticipated Builder’s Remedy, a Zoning Holiday provision enforced by the State for cities with non-compliant housing elements. Construction financing for the eight-story hotel at 495 West San Carlos Street by Diridon Station in San Jose has been secured. The project will open a 176-room Marriott TowneSuites Hotel by the Google Downtown West mixed-use plan. Urban Catalyst, the project developer, has shared with YIMBY that they expect to start demolition during the next couple of weeks.
The Santa Clara Development Review Hearing is scheduled to review plans for low-density affordable housing at 3575 De La Cruz Boulevard in Santa Clara, Santa Clara County. The proposal would add 15 new condominium units with on-site parking and a rear lot. Habitat for Humanity is the project sponsor.
