Concrete Rising for 70-76 North Winchester Boulevard in Santa Clara Agrihood

A recent site visit by SFYIMBY has documented that construction is well underway for 70 and 76 North Winchester Boulevard, one of several structures that comprise Santa Clara Agrihood, a unique senior housing development with 361 dwelling units, retail, and urban farmland by Santa Clara’s border with San Jose. Core Companies, a real estate and construction firm, is responsible for the development.

VTA Survey Open for BART Station Design Feedback

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, i.e., VTA, is welcoming the public to provide design feedback on the four future San Jose BART Stations. In particular, VTA is looking for ideas of visual elements to integrate into each of the stations. Along with the survey, the Authority has released some of the most detailed illustrations yet of the future transit hubs. The website is part of phase two in community engagement, the Construction Education and Outreach Plan. The website will receive its final comments on Friday, September 17th.

Plans Filed for 525 East Charleston Road, Palo Alto

New plans have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building with affordable housing at 525 East Charleston Road in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley. If approved, the project, dubbed the Mitchell Park Project, could add 50 new rental apartments for lower-income households to the historically housing-averse city. Eden Housing will develop the building on land leased by the County of Santa Clara.
