The CEQA exemption was granted through the Housing Accountability Act and the Builder’s Remedy provision, streamlining the planning process for 264 residential units. San Rafael-based SyRes Properties submitted the application.
The City of Gilroy has published the Draft Environmental Impact Report for a suburban development at 2480-2740 Hecker Pass in Gilroy, Santa Clara County. The proposal would add 116 single-family houses to a 24-acre property on the outskirts of town while demolishing the South Hoey Barn. Carlsbad-based developer Mana Investment is the project sponsor.
The Santa Clara Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans tonight to annex a portion of 451 El Camino Real into Santa Clara, Santa Clara County. The move would carve out nearly an acre from San Jose to allow for the development of 408 apartments overlooking the city’s Caltrain Station to occur without crossing city borders. Newport Beach-based Bixby Land Company is the project developer and applicant.

The proposal seeks to replace an industrial site with over a hundred residential units in a growing neighborhood, nearly a mile away from the Lawrence Caltrain Station. The prolific home builder, City Ventures, is responsible for the application.

The project would replace a vacant school campus with 80 homes. The True Life Company is responsible for the development and is filing through TTLC San Jose Glider, LLC.
