San Jose’s Planning Director will conduct a hearing today to review proposed permits for the site at 161 Rancho Drive. The proposed project would involve clearing the existing property of all existing buildings and as many as 31 trees. This would make space for the construction of a new three-story apartment complex at the site.
Updated plans have been filed for a six-story residential infill at 350 Forest Avenue in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The preliminary application is a moderate reduction from the previous iteration, down two floors and 13 units. Sares Regis Group is the project developer, filing on behalf of the property owner, Vittoria Management.
SF YIMBY has received new renderings of the upcoming development at 2264 Calle Del Mundo in Santa Clara. The development by Ensemble Real Estate is entitled Parkside, taking its name from the extensive parklands and greenery surrounding the site. Early construction has now begun on the property, with hopes of welcoming new residents by 2028.
A new affordable housing development has been proposed for a site located at 295 South Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale. The project would occupy a site formerly used by Wells Fargo Bank at the corner of South Mathilda Avenue and West McKinley Avenue. The City of Sunnyvale previously purchased the property in September 2023, and they have now entered into an agreement with the developer MidPen Housing to transform the property into more than 100 affordable units.
The San Jose Planning Director’s Hearing is scheduled tomorrow morning to review the site development permits for the eight-story residential project at 470 West San Carlos Street just outside Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project could add 276 apartments and parking to a cleared parcel, formerly occupied by an auto shop and three single-family houses. Urban Catalyst is responsible for the application and had previously announced that construction was scheduled to start late last year.
