Construction is now underway for the affordable housing complex at 3550 El Camino Real in Santa Clara, Santa Clara County. The project will preserve a portion of a former Bella Vista Inn motel while adding a seven-story apartment complex to the site. RCD Housing is the project developer.
Construction crews have nearly topped out Aquino, the eight-story apartment complex at 486 West San Carlos Street in San Jose, Santa Clara County. Once complete, the project will add 278 new apartments just a couple of blocks away from Discovery Meadow in Downtown San Jose. Urban Catalyst is the project developer.
The final environmental impact report has been published for the UC Berkeley Space Center at NASA Research Park in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The review provides a master plan with maximum and minimum development parameters for the potential new academic campus working with the space agency. The project is being developed by Moffett Partners LLC, a joint venture with The Regents of the University of California and SKS Partners.
The City of San Jose has approved plans for a new seven-story affordable housing development at 143 South Third Street in the downtown neighborhood. The project will convert an existing surface-level parking lot into 168 units of new housing, to be made accessible to low-income and very low-income residents. Sobrato Organization and Pacific Companies are responsible for the site’s development.
