Draft EIR Published For Five Wounds Urban Village Plan, San Jose

The City of San Jose has published the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Five Wounds Urban Village Plan in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The report seeks to consolidate four existing plans into the larger vision, including the existing Five Wounds Urban Village, the Roosevelt Park Urban Village, Little Portugal Urban Village, and the 24th & William Urban Village. The rezoning would allow over 8,000 units across a high-density mixed-use area, including structures up to 270 feet.

CEQA Exemption For 741 South Winchester Boulevard, San Jose

City staff granted an exemption from the State environmental review process for a proposed seven-story apartment at 741 South Winchester Boulevard in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The CEQA exemption was granted through the Housing Accountability Act and the Builder’s Remedy provision, streamlining the planning process for 264 residential units. San Rafael-based SyRes Properties submitted the application.
