Builder’s Remedy Application Filed for 3150 El Camino Real, Palo Alto

Acclaim Companies has filed an alternative application for what is now a builder’s remedy-assisted plan to develop 3150 El Camino Real in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The seven-story project, initially filed this June, aims to build 380 new homes on the 2.55-acre site. Communications with the city’s planning department show the developer is filing the second application in response to the department’s signal of disapproval for the increased housing.

San Jose Request Federal Funds for Affordable Housing Project

The City of San Jose has submitted a request for funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a six-story affordable housing project near Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project will create 99 units that will either become permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing units at 797 South Almaden Avenue. RCD Housing is the project developer.

Facade Installation Underway Across Cityline Sunnyvale Block 3

Just two years after the Macy’s shopping mall was demolished in the center of Downtown Sunnyvale, construction has moved fast for phase two. A recent site visit by YIMBY has shown two seven-story offices and the twelve-story apartment complex have topped out, with facade installation underway. Hunter Properties and Sares Regis Group are jointly responsible for the project, part of the 36-acre Cityline Sunnyvale master plan.
