Oxford Capital Group Buys Five Bay Area Hotels

The Chicago-based Oxford Capital Group has an extensive portfolio of hotels across the country, including San Francisco’s ornate Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Now, the firm has announced they are increasing their presence in the Bay to nine properties following the purchase of three hotels in San Francisco, one in Palo Alto, and another in Los Gatos. Details about the sales are not released, and public records are not updated.

Biggest Little Permits Report: 128 New Units Across the Bay

This week’s big little permits take away is its uptick in ADU filings. Even with Indigenous Peoples’ holiday providing a lull on Monday, planners picked up the pace for the rest of the week. This article covers over 128 new units of apartments and ADUs across the Bay Area plus Sacramento, as well as twenty-one single-family houses. Our map shows how widespread the permits were across the city of San Francisco, no more than a few in any one neighborhood. Units will range in size from studios to three bedrooms, twenty percent of which will be set aside for people with developmental disabilities.
